About Pye Advisory Group
Every leader reaches a point where experience alone isn’t enough. Growth introduces organizational complexity, and decisions no longer operate in a silo. Instead, decisions become interconnected, so every new idea competes for attention and resources. Priorities then begin to shift, sometimes chaotically, and what once felt obvious becomes harder to articulate. That’s a natural part of leading an organization. But there’s hope.
Our Values
We seek truth, speak honestly, and do what is right, even when it is difficult.
We offer clarity where confusion exists, helping organizations move forward with confidence.
We equip leaders with the knowledge, tools, and guidance to build organizations that thrive long after our work is done.
We believe every organization and every person within it deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.
We can’t promise that we’ll get everything right, every time. What we can promise is that we’ll do everything we can to speak with truth, bring clarity, provide tools we know and research those we don’t, and to guide your leaders to do the same.
Our Vision
We envision organizations that thrive instead of merely surviving—grounded in purpose, guided by strategy, and equipped to execute with confidence.
How We Help
Every healthy organization needs more than good intentions. It needs a strong foundation, clear direction, and the ability to execute. Our OPSE Model helps organizations define each of these in a practical and sustainable way:
- Purpose – Values, Vision, Mission.
- Strategy – Strategy, Goals, Objectives
- Execution – Roadmap, Projects, Tactics
Strategy is the bridge between purpose and execution. Most organizations can define why they exist and have no shortage of ideas for what they want to do. The challenge is translating purpose into a clear strategy with meaningful goals and objectives. Without that bridge, priorities compete, resources become stretched, and execution loses focus. A well-defined strategy aligns decisions, directs investment, and gives every project a clear purpose. The Strategic Guidance Framework expands on those three levels, providing a structure approach to turning purpose into strategy, and strategy into purposeful execution.
Our Mission
We provide organizations with the clarity, strategic guidance, and practical resources they need to make confident decisions, execute with discipline, and build lasting capability.
Real change doesn’t happen because a consultant arrives with the right answer. It happens when an organization chooses to embrace the right direction. We can’t promise transformation, but we can promise clarity, honest guidance, practical resources, and a commitment to helping you make informed decisions. What you do with that guidance is what ultimately determines your success. Our role is to equip your organization with the confidence, capability, and the resources to move forward. Your role is to lead the journey.
A Note from Steve Pye, Founder

I’ve always been fascinated by how organizations behave like a living organism: they grow and change, and they adapt to environments. Sometimes they react without thinking, sometimes they overcome challenges with excellence, and sometimes they don’t survive change at all.
But they all have one thing in common: they always have an opportunity to improve.
Throughout my career I’ve worked with leaders, teams, and technology solutions to help turn ideas into practical direction. Along the way I began noticing patterns—approaches that consistently produced better decisions, stronger alignment, and clearer communication across the organization.
Those observations gradually became the collection of frameworks, methods, models, and processes you’ll find throughout this site. Each one is designed to solve a specific organizational challenge while fitting into a larger approach to guidance, strategic direction, prioritization, decision-making, and organizational alignment.
My work is grounded in a primary observation: organizations perform at their best when people share a clear understanding of where they’re going, why they’re going there, and how decisions should support that direction. Without that shared understanding, capable people often make individually good decisions that unintentionally move the organization in different directions. Most people genuinely want to do what’s best for their organization. The challenge is ensuring everyone has the same understanding of what “best” actually means. Shared direction, clear communication, and consistent decision-making allow individual efforts to become coordinated organizational momentum.
The resources on this site were created to make business practices easier to understand and apply. Whether you’re building a strategy, defining annual goals, prioritizing initiatives, or strengthening alignment across your organization, the objective is always the same: provide practical resources that help good leaders become even better leaders, help good organizations become better organizations, and bring clarity wherever there’s confusion.
If your organization needs that, I hope our paths cross some day.
